Alba Botanica Pineapple Enzyme Cleanser Review

A couple weeks ago I purchased Alba Botanica Pineapple Enzyme Cleanser because I really like most of Alba Botanica's products. I did really like the overall consistency of this product. The light pineapple fragrance also had a pleasant smell that wasn't sickeningly overwhelming. It's a clear gel formula that doesn't lather too much, feels good on your skin. However, I was ultimately disappointed because my face started drying out after a couple weeks. Ugh. No Good! Any facial cleanser that dries out your face is a complete dud - stop using immediately. So, I checked the ingredients AGAIN, 'cause usually that's the first thing I do before purchasing any product. Guess what: the second ingredient is sodium myreth sulfate! So, I did some research on that ingredient and found out it's a cleansing agent found in many face products. It actually lathers up and strips your skin of natural oils, causing dryness and sometimes irritation. I am very disappointed now in Alba Botanica because they claim to be so natural and eco-friendly. Sodium myreth sulfate is NOT natural. I  basically could have spend a couple bucks on a similar quality facial cleanser at the drugstore! Stupid me because I usually research every product I purchase online, and Amazon doesn't usually display product ingredients. That's a total waste of $7. So, I've decided to give it away. I'm sticking with Juice Organics Brightening Cleanser... it's by far worth a couple more bucks ($11) and works amazingly well.
